Position Overview:

Vinova is seeking an experienced General Accountant to join our finance team. 

As a General Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the general accounting functions of the company. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform day-to-day accounting functions, including maintaining general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable.

• Record financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.

• Reconcile accounts, including bank statements and general ledger accounts.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

• Collaborate with various departments to manage and follow up on service contracts.

• Monitor contract milestones, payments, and compliance.

• Ensure proper documentation of all contracts and associated financial transactions.

• Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.

• Assist in the analysis of financial data to support decision-making.

• Monitor and maintain accounts receivable records.

• Follow up on outstanding invoices, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely collection of payments..

• Manage payment processing for purchases and expenses.

• Verify and record vendor invoices and coordinate payment schedules.

• Prepare and file various tax reports, including income tax, VAT, and other applicable taxes.

• Stay up-to-date with tax regulations and ensure compliance.

• Collaborate with external tax advisors as needed.

• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.

• Monitor and control expenses to ensure they align with the budget.

• Make recommendations for budget adjustments as necessary.

• Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Proven experience as a General Accountant, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with Quickbooks or Xero is a big plus.

• Good English communication skills.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Exposure to international accounting practices, with a preference for experience in accounting for Singaporean companies.

• Familiarity with Vietnamese and international accounting standards and relevant regulations, including tax and social insurance compliance.

• Proficiency in preparing financial reports, tax reports, and management reports.

• Strong organizational skills, a strong work ethic, honesty, and the ability to work well under pressure.
